Admissions Step By Step

Admissions for the winter semester 2021/2022 at the Tischner European University in Krakow are now open!

Studies are one of the greatest and most important events in a young person’s life. This is when we begin to make informed decisions that affect our entire life.

One of such decisions is choosing the right field of study that will allow you not only to develop your passions and broaden your horizons, but also open the door to your dream job. All this is guaranteed by studies at the Tischner European University!

ADMISSIONS START - 15 APRIL 2021

Our offer of English-language studies includes carefully developed fields that meet the needs of the modern labor market. Each of them is run by a qualified team of professionally active lecturers who not only teach but also inspire our students to act independently.

English-language studies are only available in full-time mode of studies.

Applications for all candidates at the TEU are submitted in accordance with one of two sets of admission rules:

  • for Polish citizens (even as dual citizenship),
  • for foreigners, i.e. persons who do not hold Polish citizenship.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES (BA)

Foreign candidates who apply for studies should submit (by post or in person) to the Marketing and Recruitment Department the following documents:

  • completed and signed application form;
  • ID photograph;
  • High School Education Diploma including a marksheet (or another foreign document) that entitles to apply for undergraduate studies in its country of issue, with apostille or legalisation;
  • confirmation of payment of the application fee* (200 euro) and one year tuition fee;
  • English certificate (which confirms knowledge of foreign language at least at B1 or higher level) or a signed declaration of knowledge of the English language;
  • certified translation of all documents issued in the language other than the Polish or English languages.

Polish candidates who apply for studies should submit (by post or in person) to the Marketing and Recruitment Department the following documents:

  • completed and signed application form;
  • ID photograph;
  • Polish Matura certificate;
  • confirmation of payment the recruitment fee* (85 zł) and application fee (300 zł);
  • English certificate (which confirms knowledge of foreign language at least at B1 or higher level) or a signed declaration of knowledge of the English language;

 *the application fee is non-refundable

GRADUATE STUDIES (MA)

Foreign candidates who apply for graduate studies should submit (by post or in person) to the Marketing and Recruitment Department the following documents:

  • completed and signed application form;
  • ID photo;
  • High School Education Diploma including a marksheet (or another foreign document) that entitles to apply for undergraduate studies in its country of issue, with apostille or legalisation;
  • Bachelor’s Diploma (or Master's Diploma) that entitles to apply for graduate studies in its country of issue, with apostille or legalisation;
  • Transcript of records with apostille or legalization;
  • confirmation of payment of the application fee* (200 euro) and one year tuition fee;
  • certified translation of all documents issued in the language other than the Polish or English languages.


Candidates applying to this programme need to be holders of a bachelor's diploma or master's diploma awarded in the English Philology field.

The diploma needs to confirm their eligibility to undertake graduate programmes (MA) of study in Poland. For diplomas issued abroad of Poland, the diploma needs to confirm candidate’s eligibility to undertake studies on equivalent level in its country of issue.

The course average grade is not lower than 3.5 or the grade on the diploma is not lower than 3.5.

In case of non-compliance with one of the conditions, a candidate must be interviewed. The aim of the interview is to assess candidate's aptitude for the programme, and their English proficiency.

A candidate may be qualified on the basis of a certificate of English language proficiency:

- CAE minimum grade B,

- CPE minimum grade C,

- IELTS minimum grade 6.5,

- TOEIC minimum grade 880,

- TELC minimum grade C1.

In the case of certificate absence, a candidate must be interviewed. The aim of the interview is to assess candidate's aptitude for the programme, and their English proficiency.

ADMISSIONS END - 31 JULY 2021

ADMISSIONS RESULTS - 9 AUGUST 2021

After being admitted to the University, you will receive by e-mail a copy of the agreement on the provision of educational services, with the electronic signature of the Rector of TEU and information about next steps in the recruitment procedure.


The contract for the provision of educational services should be printed and signed. One copy of the contract should be delivered to the Recruitment Department in person * or via post (within the period specified in the email)

How to do it?
The signed document should be sent by post to the following address:

The date on the postmark decides whether the deadline is met.
Providing a signed copy of the contract is tantamount to the decision to undertake studies.

In case one is not admitted the person receives the decision of being rejected by e-mail.

 

* Due to the extraordinary epidemiological situation in the country, we recommend sending signed contracts by regular mail.

 

The following information applies only to foreign candidates:

After receiving the obligatory documents and the confirmation of the tuition fee payment, we will send you the Final Acceptance Letter. Additionally, the original Acceptance Letter will be sent at the address provided in the Application Form. With these documents you can apply for the visa and finalize other formalities before your arrival to Poland.

Induction Day is an organizational meeting for the first years of all directions. The date of the meeting and details will be given in the invitation sent to new students by email.
