Tischner European University library was established in 2003, the same year that the educational activity of the university began. Its book collection is constantly growing. Today we have nearly 13,000 volumes of publications, in Polish and foreign languages. The library holds a collection of 1,121 copies of case studies, purchased on the license of Harvard Business School, 107 journals, and many other special collections, including maps, audio and video tapes, CDs and DVDs.
TEU virtual library provides access to electronic databases, among others: Virtual Library of Science, EBSCO, JSTOR, Digital Libraries Federation, Bibliomania, FullBooks, Gutenberg Project or PAH publications database. The library catalogue is freely available online. The readers have the option to order books via the Internet, which is convenient for students commuting from outside Cracow.
The Library users have at their disposal two reading rooms – a computer one, which enables them to use the databases as well as the other libraries resources, and a traditional one, with free access to books and magazines. The Library is accessible to all readers: those from outside the university may use its collection in the reading room. Books can be borrowed by TEU’ students, employees and graduates. Interlibrary loan system is also available.
